To plant green tomatoes, start by selecting a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil. Prepare the soil by adding compost or organic matter to improve its fertility. Plant the green tomato seedlings in the soil, making sure to space them at least 18-24 inches apart. Water the plants regularly, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. As the plants grow, provide support such as stakes or cages to help them stay upright. **

In fact, the canning process can actually increase the bioavailability of certain nutrients, such as lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant. However, it's important to check the label for added salt or sugar in canned tomatoes, as these can detract from their health benefits. Ultimately, both canned and fresh tomatoes can be part of a healthy diet, and the choice between the two may come down to personal preference and convenience. **
